Yes, I love visiting museums and most of all old manors, its just something about them, you just want to know more!
Gulskogen Manor is one of my favorites due to the beautiful big garden surrounding it, you can still see how it must have been at the beginning of 1800th century. Gulskogen Manor was country house, used during the summer time only, this of course change with time.
There are lots of possibilities to have a picnic in the garden, there are guided tours and of course homemade waffles and black coffee!
If you visiting Norway or live in Norway I will recommend to visit Fosseholm Manor, not far from Oslo just outside city of Drammen. This is a splendid Manor where some of the buildings are dating to 1540. There are several buildings at the estate, museum and you can also buy guided tour in the manor to experience the magnificent wall paintings, culture and history. The guide had good knowledge about the estate and was very helpful to answer any questions. We were actually two couples at the guided tour, so we really enjoyed our selfs. Of course at any place you vistit in Norway you will always have the possibility to buy a good homemade waffles and black coffee!
